Portable Grill of the Year! Plus, Freight Is Booked: Shipping Timeline Update.

Hi everyone,
We wanted to share a quick update on the status of your Thaan Table Grill.
Our freight has officially been booked, which is a major step forward in getting grills on their way to our first backers. The cargo ready date is currently scheduled for May 29, and the shipment is expected to arrive at the port on June 30.
This does mean that fulfillment for our first backers will now be pushed to the beginning of July.
We know everyone is excited to receive their grill, and we’re excited to get them into your hands. While this is a little later than we had hoped, having freight booked gives us a much clearer timeline, and we’ll continue to keep you updated as the shipment moves through each stage.
On another note, Men's Journal recently named the Thaan Grill the "Best Portable Grill of 2026"! We are incredible honored and proud!

Final Bag Design Update

We’re excited to share that the final design for the Thaan Grill Carrying Bag is now locked in
From the beginning, we wanted the bag to feel like a natural extension of the grill itself — clean, durable, and thoughtfully designed for the way people actually use it. The goal was simple: make it easier to store your grill, carry it confidently, and keep everything together whether you’re heading to the beach, a campsite, a cabin, or just putting it away between cooks.
Like the grill, the bag was designed with portability and long-term use in mind. It’s meant to make the whole experience feel more complete — not just during travel, but in everyday ownership too. That means a design that feels practical, well considered, and worthy of the product it’s carrying.
We know accessories like this can make a big difference, and we’re really happy with where the final design landed. It’s a meaningful improvement to the overall Thaan Grill experience, and we can’t wait to get it into your hands.
On fulfillment timing, there’s no change to report today — we’re still looking to June for fulfillment.
One important reminder: there are still a handful of backers who have not completed their shipping survey. If that’s you, please reach out and we’ll send you a link so you can get it filled out as soon as possible.

Happy New Year Everyone!
First, thank you again for backing the Thaan Grill. I want to share a few important updates on surveys, our manufacturing plan, and a timeline shift so everyone knows what to expect.
Surveys
If you chose “Pledge Over Time”
BackerKit sends your survey after your final payment is completed. For most of you, that will be near the end of January.
If you paid in full
You should have already received a survey from BackerKit. If you haven’t filled it out yet: reminders will go out this week. Please complete your survey by January 31 so we can lock in your details and fulfill your pledge.
Manufacturing Update
Over the last few months, we’ve been developing two manufacturing paths in parallel, one in the UK and one in China.
At this point, it’s looking like we’ll go to production with our partner in China. This is the same team that manufactured the Thaan Grill XL, and they’re incredibly skilled. We’ve built a strong working relationship with them, and they’re well set up to deliver the quality standard this product demands.
Factory Visit + Tooling Milestone
I’ll be visiting the factory later this month to check on progress in person. Tooling is currently scheduled to be complete on February 6.
Timeline Shift (Lunar New Year Impact)
Because of the Feb 6 tooling completion date, we’ll miss the window to begin production before Lunar New Year, when many factories shut down for a few weeks. That means production will begin in March, and fulfillment will shift to April at the earliest. I know delays are frustrating, and I don’t take them lightly. My priority is making sure we deliver a grill that meets the standard you backed: durable, beautiful, and built to perform for years. I’ll keep sharing progress as we move through tooling and production scheduling.
What to Do Right Now

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your Post Campaign Survey powered by BackerKit. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://thaangrill.backerkit.com.
