First, thank you again for backing the Thaan Grill. I want to share a few important updates on surveys, our manufacturing plan, and a timeline shift so everyone knows what to expect.
BackerKit sends your survey after your final payment is completed. For most of you, that will be near the end of January.
You should have already received a survey from BackerKit. If you haven’t filled it out yet: reminders will go out this week. Please complete your survey by January 31 so we can lock in your details and fulfill your pledge.
Over the last few months, we’ve been developing two manufacturing paths in parallel, one in the UK and one in China.
At this point, it’s looking like we’ll go to production with our partner in China. This is the same team that manufactured the Thaan Grill XL, and they’re incredibly skilled. We’ve built a strong working relationship with them, and they’re well set up to deliver the quality standard this product demands.
I’ll be visiting the factory later this month to check on progress in person. Tooling is currently scheduled to be complete on February 6.
Because of the Feb 6 tooling completion date, we’ll miss the window to begin production before Lunar New Year, when many factories shut down for a few weeks. That means production will begin in March, and fulfillment will shift to April at the earliest. I know delays are frustrating, and I don’t take them lightly. My priority is making sure we deliver a grill that meets the standard you backed: durable, beautiful, and built to perform for years. I’ll keep sharing progress as we move through tooling and production scheduling.

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your Post Campaign Survey powered by BackerKit. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://thaangrill.backerkit.com.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://thaangrill.backerkit.com/faq.

We are working hard on final production and tooling details, building the post-campaign survey, and also taking some time to rest and be thankful for everything. We hope you take time to do the same!
We had the very fun (and delicious) opportunity to test @creolmeup Sassy Dindon Haitian turkey spice blend with the incredible Elsy Dinvil, and we went for it. We roasted the turkey and cabbage on our prototype charcoal rotisserie for over 5 hours, and the results were AMAZING!
